Discover Downtown Franklin is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Smoke on the Square BBQ Competition. This year’s event will be held June 22-23, 2012. We have been able to expand the venue slightly, but there will be a strict limit of 30 teams so please get your application in quickly. We have several discount options for teams that get their registrations in soon. All of the teams had such a great time last year and this year will be even bigger and better. We are also offering the opportunity for up to 5 teams to vend BBQ all weekend. Inaugural Smoke on the Square – 2011
The inaugural competition was held June 24-25, 2011, in Franklin, Indiana. We had 23 teams sign up for the first contest and the event was a great success. The community responded well and the teams all had a great time. The event is held in conjunction with the summer Fourth Friday event series hosted by Discover Downtown Franklin. The profits from the event benefit Discover Downtown Franklin. Check this page often for updates on future contests.
